As a designated shrine church, St Antony’s holds a special place of devotion and pilgrimage, especially on Tuesdays, which are traditionally dedicated to St Antony of Padua.

Every Tuesday at 8:00 PM, hundreds gather for a special Novena service, a powerful hour of prayer and devotion seeking the intercession of our beloved saint.

During the service:

  • Novena prayers are recited together

  • Prayer intentions submitted by the faithful are read aloud

  • There is Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

  • The service concludes with the veneration of St Antony’s relic

Throughout the day, many others also visit the church to pray, among them are devotees from various faith backgrounds, including Hindus from India and Sri Lanka, who share a deep reverence for St Antony’s compassion and miraculous intercession.

O wonderful St. Antony, glorious on account of the fame of your miracles, and through the condescension of Jesus in coming in the form of a little child to rest in your arms, obtain for me of His bounty the grace which I ardently desire from the depths of my heart (state your intention).

You who were so compassionate toward miserable sinners, regard not the unworthiness of those who pray to you, but the glory of God that it may once again be magnified by the granting of the particular request  (state your intention)  which I now ask for with persevering earnestness. Amen.

Pray one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and Glory Be to the Father, in honour of Saint Antony.

Saint Antony, pray for us!
