Friends of St Antony

To embody the compassion and spirit of St. Anthony by serving the poor, the needy, and the homebound elderly within our parish community. Through acts of charity, companionship, and practical assistance, we aim to foster dignity, hope, and faith in the lives of those we serve.

Guided by the love and example of St. Anthony, our mission is to serve Christ by reaching out with compassion and humility to the poor, the vulnerable, and the homebound elderly in our parish and beyond. Through simple acts of charity, loving presence, and spiritual support, we seek to bring comfort, restore dignity, and nurture both the spiritual and physical well-being of those most in need.

We envision a caring and united parish community where no one is forgotten or left alone, a community inspired by faith, where the love of Christ is made visible through selfless service, solidarity, and a shared commitment to uplifting the vulnerable among us.

Our Activities:

As a faith-driven outreach group, we joyfully serve our parish through a variety of compassionate and practical activities:

Visiting the Sick and Homebound:

We offer companionship, prayer, and comfort to elderly or ill parishioners who are unable to leave their homes, reminding them they are still a vital part of our community.

Prayer and Spiritual Support:

We pray with and for those we visit, bringing peace, hope, and a deep sense of God’s loving presence.

Monthly Mass at Westgate House:

We organize and participate in Holy Mass at Westgate care home once a month, sharing the grace of the Eucharist with its residents.

Supporting Poor Families and Children:

We provide practical help, such as food, clothing, school supplies, and other essentials, to struggling families within our community.

Emergency and Compassionate Aid:

We respond to urgent needs with care, discretion, and sensitivity, bringing Christ’s comfort in moments of crisis.

Fundraising for the Mission:

We raise funds to support our outreach work and extend help to those most in need.
